Through their financing for fossil fuels, banks play a crucial role in climate change. As the biggest funder of fossil fuels – including fossil fuel expansion -- JPMorgan Chase is now the worst bank in the world for people and the planet.
In the last three years, the bank’s fossil fuel financing totaled over $195 billion – nearly 30% higher than the next largest bank funder! And even more astoundingly, the bank has provided $67 billion in financing for fossil fuel expansion in the three years following the Paris Agreement. That is 68% higher than then next largest bank funder!
The bank’s CEO, Jamie Dimon, criticized President Trump for pulling out of the Paris Agreement.
It’s now time for Jamie Dimon to bring his bank into line with the Agreement and stop intensifying the climate crisis.
Sign the letter to Jamie Dimon, Chair and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, demanding the bank stop financing fossil fuels and fossil fuel expansion and that it support renewable energy and human rights.
